Please realize that in this scene Danzo's summoning is already out for 2 reasons.
1. It is pulling on susanoo which is causing the chakra on it to be stretched and moved towards the summoning.
2. Boost Danzo's wind attacks but alot.
Danzo was clever enough to Attack from the other side which is not weaker than the front half because the chakra is being pulled to the from and with the increase wind power pushed the charka more towards the front causing a Gao in the backside of susanoo.
Danzo made a gap but using the conbination of two techs to push the charkra more towards the front of susanoo to create a gap. He did not crack or damage it.
Therefore with this susanoo never being cracked or even showing signs of being broken and then being upgraded with a helmet and muscle and then a added layer of fat.

These are the muscles wrapping around the skeleton of Susanoo, this Muscle layer is on top of the skeleton but underneath the fat.

This is the fat layer that is on top of the muscle. The Skeleton is 1 layer of defense, The Muscle is another layer of defense, and the Fat is the 3rd layer of Defense. Their is a Skin layer as well which is why Sasukes susanoo looks like this:

Unusual as it is this layer is actually underneath the fat layer which equals up to 4 layers of defense around the body and the Head has all these layers with a helmet which =5 layers for the head.
The only part not covered by Amaterasu has the most defense. Yes the 3rd Raikage provides excellent examples of his strength but the most impressive is his durablity which does not provide him with a surviving method for amaterasu only method he has is choping of his arm or leg which in other words leaves him crippled. As Sasuke loses charka during the battle 3rd Raikage loses limbs. It is very easy to see who would die first in this type of equation.
