Nah he probably made a hawk contract and kept the snake contract, and he's using the appropriate contract for the situation.

I agree, though Sasuke and Naruto have moved on from Orochimaru and Jiraiya representations to Madara and Hashirama at this point, in my opinion. It's a throwback to the Sannin, though it feels ill-timed.

i know what you are trying to say..as far as sasuke is concerned..i think kishi should have just shown the snake as his summon..but i think kishi did it to show sasuke's dominance..you know..even in the sanin's case..their summonings were dominating..frog dominates slug..snake dominates frog..and a hawk dominates snake..so i think it was just to show sasuke's dominance at THAT POINT OF STORYLINE. .so it was just an adjustment made due to the storyline..and same concept can be applicable to the recent chapter..
