Genjutsu wouldn't be very effective or useful against Naruto.
Naruto always possessed skilled in that area. Jiraiya taught him how to defeat genjutsu and Naruto displayed his skills during his battle with Itachi. Itachi failed to put Naruto to sleep and was forced to change tactics -
Naruto skilled in genjutsu has grown throughout the manga. When Sasuke placed Sakura in genjustu after the war base Naruto immediately recognize Sasuke used a genjutsu -
The main reason genjutsu wouldn't work on Naruto is because he is a perfect jin. Naruto could use Kurama to defeat the genjutsu for him, he could over power the genjutsu with chakra, or he could act as his own partner to defeat the genjutsu.
Naruto possess 10 different chakra types. His chakra and tail beast 1-9. Naruto can access any of his chakras at anytime. When he helped cancel the IT he accessed all the tail beast chakra and used them simultaneously. If he is placed in a genjutsu all he would have to do is access the tail beast chakra or whatever chakra not being controlled and inject it into the chakra that's being controlled.

- Unlike the genjutsu Sasuke used on the tail beast it wasn't visible to the naked eye. Meaning the one he used on the tail beast could be easily seen because the rinnegan formed around their eyes.
