But anyways let me add on to the topic.

Both Jin and Sasuke actions and surroundings fit the mold of a quintessential "tragic hero/villain," except for there lack of a tragic flaw. As with many tragedies, all of the major traumatic events that occur within the hero's life are wholly beyond his control. Sasuke's clan being slain while Jin's father and grandfather turning on him.

It is very easy for a tragic hero to become corrupted if an outside influence (Tobi/Heihachi) push the right buttons.

- Jin declaring war on the entire world and becoming an international criminal.
- Sasuke joining the Akatsuki and becoming a major threat to the world.

Finally, they both also has one personality trait which is common with many Japanese action heroes. Once Jin and Sasuke's mind is focused in any particular direction, it is very difficult to get him to change or even notice the events and people around him.
