Well naruto says shunshin thing, so that infers it's sasuke teleport jutsu instead of body flicker since there is no name to the teleport jutsu as of yet. I'm sure Naruto would say body flicker or whatever if he used it. If it was body flicker why wouldn't he go further away?

Its stated in the manga by Naruto by that Sasuke used Body Flicker and Sasuke didnt correct him, so yes it can be used by people in mid air for all we know. That puff of smoke is actually meant for a distraction and is totally optional.

Sasuke not correcting him infers its just Body flicker (Which is the translated meaning of Shunshin no Jutsu), as far as we know for now. Also why would he go anywhere else? Henneded a foot hold and the closest friendly thing with flight ability was Naruto.

Yes he teleported. No it wasn't body flicker as naruto says "shunshin thing" meaning he doesn't know what technique sasuke is using, only that it is similar, in naruto's mind, to shunshin.
