I just wanted to talk a little about this and how much it annoyed me.
When he was facing Madara Sasuke demonstrated many impressive speed feats. At first they look realistic and plausible considering his space-time power up.
But then I looked at Minato facing Madara using an equally fast space-time technique (You can't be faster than instant), yet got completely owned in a second with those blitzing reflexes. Lets take a look at the match up, Madara has sage mode and the Rinnegan. Sasuke has the Yin half and a single Rinnegan. When Minato attacked Madara he was using sage mode himself.
Now Minato is already hailed as one of the fastest Shinobi, that's a reflex based feat not simple distance crossed one. Aka he managed to react to the Raikage's attacks etc.
Even with Sage mode and some of the sharpest reflexes to boot Madara still rofl stomped him and quite rightly considering the gap between them.
Sasuke has the Sharingan and the yin half of the sages power...okay...did that make him super fast normally without space-time ninjutsu? Well obviously it must have considering how much he loved chopping Madara into little jiblets. But wait...doesn't Madara have eye techniques AND the predictive qualities of Sage mode as well? Shouldn't Sasuke be completely outgunned in a direct confrontation?
My point is I'm not really seeing the difference (much) between Minato and Sasuke in their respective attack patterns. Both the Sharingan and Sage mode have predictive qualities, yet somehow Sasuke suddenly starts outmatching a character which arguable outmatches him in every department. Madara has the sages body aka super reflexes, speed, strength and the sages eyes, ie the ability to use those massive reflexes even more effectively.
Truthfully I'm not seeing how after Sasuke warps into attack range he didn't just get stomped like Minato. His "normal" movements didn't seem all that faster after his power up...
If you say Hiraishin needs tags and therefore alerted Madara to the possibility of attack, thats fair enough, but then Madara should have expected Sasuke to appear from nowhere after the first few uses of his technique.
To me this stinks of situational power ups and hype. Kishi hyped Madara by rofl stomping Minato then not a couple of chapters later completely ruins that hype by chopping Madara in half lawl using the exact same attack pattern.
