At this point we know that sasuke is EEEEEEEVILLLLLLL. all capital letters, because he enjoys the taste of newborn babies in the morning.
But why is his mangekyo eye open? Because it looks slick, and no other reason? It certainly does look slick. But... is it... possible that he's casting a genjutsu? And if so, on who? Not Danzo; he dies like 10 panels afterward. And not Madara; he's not even looking at him. Gotta be Karin.
So the speculation is, Sasuke genjutsus Karin, then stabs Karin and Danzo with chidori.
"What? Why would he do that?" I hear you asking. To make it seem like he wounded her much more severely than he actually did.
"Why would he bother?" The only reason I can think of is "to drive her away from him". Why? I don't know. Perhaps because he wanted to get her out of the devils bargain he had made with Tobi? Or he was sick of her getting all up ons? (shrug)
"But he really did stab her!" Yes he did. But Danzo had to die. Quite aside from Sasuke's issues with him, in Danzo's hands, Karin would have died, period, end of story. To wound her to prevent certain death is to choose the lesser of two evils. Sasuke is smart enough to know that.
Besides, based on what Dr. Snakes knows about Kabuto's powers (and the Uzimaki healing ability, from fighting Naruto), if he knew Karin was an Uzimaki (I'm sure he did), I'm sure he knows Karin can walk off a much bigger beating than most people of her ability.
"Perhaps. But why all the deception?" I would suspect he is emulating his brother; garb your actions in the clothing of a sonofabitch, in order to insinuate yourself with a real sonofabitch (madara).
"You're an idiot. Sasuke's LEFT eye is open. Thats his amerteratsu eye! he can't cast illusions with that!" I don't think Kishi is completely consistent with which eye does which. See here...

its his RIGHT eye shown staring at Cee in the illusion, but he's covering up his LEFT eye after the fact.
Also, I'm not claiming he's doing his own version of Tsukuyomi on her. Just a regular old genjustu. Its not clear to me that he can't do THOSE with either eye.
i won't comment on his acts at the summit, against Bee, or against his former teammates, but I could see this being a way for Kishi to redeem Sasuke.
I swear I'm not a uchiha fanboy.
TL: DR Rather than almost kill her, Sasuke genjutsus Karin to make her believe he almost kills her, in order to drive her away, and to keep up a charade of being in total agreement with Tobi. but seriously, read the whole thing you lazy bastard.
Edit: on further reflection, I don't think this is very likely any more. Sakura heals Karin later, and if her injuries weren't severe, she would certainly have noticed. Although maybe because she was all emo at the time, she didn't put two and two together?
