Hmm.. I was thinking they accidentally touch hands ( not really accidentally, Naruto does it on purpose) and IT's released while they're fighting.
This fight needs an audience

Sage is still sitting there and with Sasuke's death he might his power back and it can redistributed, Sage seemed disappointed enough in Sasuke's declaration. But I think its unlikely, it wld be a different ending.
