It's a filler arc in Part 1 and now it's here in part 2 Same Filler Dojutsu which is called Keryugan .

That's why this is basically confirmation that the Sasuke Shinden Arc is Filler nothing Canon about it

Why would a guy who is 6'6" 240 get scared of a guy who is 6'3" 220? Because he's dangerous enough to do damage same thing with he eyes, just because power wise you should be superior doesnt mean you will always win without getting hurt

Then again the analogy should more be like lebron james versus the guy who played odd job in James bond, also people are afraid of the unknown

Trivia says:

Ranmaru's Kekkei Genkai fits the description of the Kerryūgan from Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise. It is unknown, however, whether the two dōjutsu are one and the same.

So, if this Ranmaru guy which i never heard about in my entire life haves the ability to control blood flow in a victim's body, then i guess it is the dõjutsu that is mentioned in the novels, otherwise, nop.

Also, the tenseigan for example never appeared in the manga, does that mean The Last is filler (By your logic, of course.)

Also, that scene where "Sasuke shitted his pants", doesn't happen in the novels. He glances his sharingan towards the red eye SFX happens and he brakes free unharmed. The caster of the red eye appears in the next scene with his hand covering his eyes, meaning that he probably suffered a genjutsu from Sasuke.

That's just SP giving you the fanservice.

Threads like this are one of the reason people need to do their research. Kishimoto has said in several interviews that he oversaw the creation of the novels/had a direct input, meaning yes, these upcoming episodes are indeed canon---they are just written in novels, not manga.

Let's take a look at the facts:
Ranmaru's dojutsu allows its user the ability to (1) penetrate through solid objects/hear in the distance. (2) ability to fend off other eye techniques. (3) the power to manipulate life force in exchange for one's own. (4) cast powerful genjutsu (5) intense ability to sense chakra/count how many people are around them. (6) ability to see with great clarity and read people's minds

(side note: this is a very powerful dojutsu.. like, serious? lol)

The Kerryugan is from the Chinoike clan. It can do the following: (1) can cast great genjutsu. (2) can manipulate the iron in blood. (3) can manipulate liquids with high concentrations of blood.

These are not the same eye. One is far more powerful than the other. They're both red, right? So is the Sharingan and Kurenai Yuhi's eyes.. lol. Come on now y'all.

Let's go a bit further...
Take for example Raiga Kurosuki. He was first released in the episode where Naruto and the crew were on some mission that turned out to be higher ranked than expected. Then, suddenly, years later, he was revealed in the CANON manga, illustrated and authored by Masashi Kishimoto himself.

Kishimoto has his hands in more than you might think, but that story with Raiga Kurosuki, Ranmaru and now this blood eye are canon. Sorry.
