So I don't think that them being "family" limits what sasuke would do to them.
Along with that, your wife is your family. Family and sister are not the same thing. Sister is part of the family, but family is not necessarily your sister.

IIRC, Naruto has never referred to team 7 as his family.
His father figure was always Iruka. Sakura has always been his love interest, and Sasuke his rival/brother.
He has never said Team 7 is like my family.

Another important thing brought up by this is that Sasuke also saw Kakashi as a father figure at least for some time.
He has never showed romantic feelings for Saku, but certainly he has showed he cares, and now we know that is because he think of her as his sister.
