kaguya had the juubi eye and byakugan, the sage had the rennegan, his son had the sharingan see the pattern, the eyes are getting weaker.. the sage somehow just gave sasuke the juubi's eye so now sasuke has the juubi eye and the sharingan his genjutsu should be on par with kaguya's is all im saying

Check the Sage's flashbacks, he called it a Sharingan.

The Sage's mother had all Three doujutsus at the same time and they broke up among her descendants.

Its not a fourth doujutsu, just the combination of two others.j



Edit: Actually after review I take it back.

Kaguya's third eye is just a single Sharingan, it has more circles and tomoe because with the Uchiha its divided between two eyes while all her Sharingan power is just in one.

The Sage says its a Sharingan when he explain how Infinite Tsukuyomi worked.
