Kishi nerfed Madara so Sasuke and Naruto could have a chance or have you not notice the fact that Madara was using Susanoo with no eyes and with 1 eye pre Juubi Jin, he wasn't a using Deva path, absorbing ninjutsu, using weapon path, not using wood clones that can also use all jutsus he can including making Limbos of their own, not using wood jutsus, not using any element jutsus but storm once and another lightning one. Deva path or Susanoo would have easily stopped Sasuke's slash plus Minato FTG 5 of his truth seeking balls to Konoha so no shield usage. No 5 seconds interval when the real users uses Deva path so a Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't even be touching Madara plus his PS would be far stronger since Sasuke's PS powered up from the Sage's Yin chakra and Madara was a complete Sage with both halves.

Naruto and Sasuke would lose to a 1 eye Madara JJ if he wasn't nerfed especially when Sasuke have no knowledge on any of Madara's Rinnegan jutsus such as pulling out souls (his other eye had that power but his summon can also pull out souls as the Pein arc shows), wood clone+Deva path+absorbing ninjutsu+sensory ability+usage of all elements+PS that's powered by a complete Sage> Sasuke and Naruto at that point in time.

I stopped reading after pets. Sasuke openly admitted if one of them die, the war is over. Naruto > Sasuke if we use common sense.
