Well If you are seriously asking for an answer I would say it's because Sasuke has been attempting to force his self into a new league and has actually proved himself doing It. He is fighting higher level shonbi now and testing his abilities on the weak does not satify his desire to see where his power is. Example:

He shows that he does in fact want feedback and thats what he would have got from his fight with Danzo but Tobi wanted to see more and have him exposed to the entire kage meeting. Also showing that he "got his ass handed to him" was a way to show that the Uchiha powers do not come from just obtaining but training your eyes. It showed that sasuke being
talented" still has to work hard and that Sasuke has to actually get used to his new powers. Simply obtaining does not make you perfect or powerful with it. Just like having a knife does not make you deadly but It's experience with the knife that does.

Lol, Naruto was going to lose to Pain. He was lucky enough to make it out of there thanks to Hinata and Minato. He did good, but we know he was going to lose.

I didn't say you mentioned Kabuto. and No the only thing that stops him from winning is his lack of training, arrogance, and cockiness thinking he could beat anyone just because of a power up. I like him but IMO

The only fight that Sasuke really got his ass handed was against Killer Bee, lol. That's the only match that made him look weak.

Well based on your definition and this is only based off yours Sasuke did not get his ass handed to him by Danzo, mei,Mifune, Deidara, Orochimaru,Team 7,Kabuto,Darui or that Sensor guy for A. This is shippuden only and these are the fights that Sasuke did not "get beat badly." Based off your definition it;s mainly Killer B and A? On the other hand Raikage did have a healer:

Did it also occur to you that after even gaining power, the opponents Sasuke finds himself battling possess power that usually rivals or even exceeds his own?

Itachi;
- Despite having trained extensively under Orochimaru and Itachi being weakened to the point of death, Sasuke still couldn't completely seize flow of the battle, though he managed to take control of it a few times. However, regardless of the fact that Itachi has already resolved to die at his brother's hands, it was Sasuke who took this match.

Killer Bee;
- This battle is fairly obvious - it's a tailed beast we're dealing with here - and even if it was just one tail, even with his new MS abilities, Sasuke took some serious damage before he managed to take control of the battle with Amaterasu and claim victory.

Raikage;
- While the outcome of this match wasn't decided, both of them were saved to an extent by Gaara's intervention - A would've lost a leg if his assault would've continued, and Sasuke would've suffered a terrible blow (though Susano'o & Amaterasu would've absorbed some of the impact) - Undecided match.

Danzo;
- Another match that ended up pushing Sasuke to his limits, as he had to make use of all his MS techniques, among other chakra-taxing techniques, such as Chidori and the Summoning Technique. And yet, again, he emerged as the victor of the match.

As one of the main antagonists who's destined to fight Naruto, it's pretty clear to all of us that the plot wouldn't allow Sasuke to be killed before then, so pointing that out makes little sense now. What you should understand though, is that a win is a win; regardless of how beaten-up or ragged Sasuke came out of the battle. Most of his opponents weren't just regular pushovers either, but extremely powerful ninja:

- The Prodigy of the Uchiha Clan, Itachi
- One of the Strongest Tailed Beasts, Killer Bee
- Two Kage, who are already powerful in their own rite

In the future, it'd be wise to take these things into consideration before making threads like this. Other ninja who took on those types of shinobi wouldn't 'barely escape alive', they'd be dead.

Correct and also he doesn't train that much anyways. He uses his opponents to gain experience.
