But the sand won't let the fire touch him tbh. Though the fire can be directly ignited on Gaara, I doubt the sand would let it. The sand that he carries with him in the gourd protects him almost instantaneous. Amaterasu is fast, but not instant.

Gaara sand reaction time to treat is slow because Sasuke speed and Lee speed allow them to pass through his defense and injured him.Amaterasu (directly from the user eyes) burn the target on sight instantly

I wouldn't say instantly, but it is rather quick. Gaara's sand has also been said to be an 'instant' defense I'm pretty sure.

Is lieu of insulting the guy, look LONG and HARD at the image he posted. Gaara has never blocked Amaterasu. Sasuke basically threw an Enton Flame already on his Susano'o's head to defend himself. These flames didn't follow the rule of 'eye focus' on the object and hence wouldn't burn the sand. How hard is it to understand this, fast-forward hundred plus chapters?
