In the final chapter he's still on a journey, but he has been back time and again to have kids with Sakura?

But the fact that he's still out there means he's trying to make amends for his sins still and looking to find himself.

As i predicted a long time ago, i think Sasuke is searching for other Uchiha, and he will probably find someone in part 3.

i think he left the village and came back two years later when the movie villain shows up. Has kids with Sakura and stayed, he does say at the end he will be back.
