Sasuke's new Hokage causes for complete severance.
As we see, he has even decided to sever his own dear brother....the very driving force in all of his life..
As we hear Kakashi talking we see him remembering his family and then saying how "that is all a thing of the past".

As we never really know what is going on in the mind of sasuke, I think this panel kind of concluded this theory..

Just as Madara and Obito did once they obtained a certain level of power....sasuke's undertones in his words basically renounced his clan..

I guest this means sasuke has finally given closure to the repatriation of his clan....

Sasuke's thinking is on the level of a God at this point. He's judging humanity and seeing moral faults in Naruto's plans, for the first time ever. Naruto essentially has no answer to "The Kage only united to fight a common enemy, they'll go right back to their separate villages". It's a damn good point. These are the same Go-kage that weaponized the TB to begin with and brought war to the minor villages.

The Go-kage are essentially war lords, and they have plenty of blood on their hands. Sasuke may very well be justified in killing Ay, who tried to kill Naruto and Sasuke, and was fully prepared to break his truce with Tsunade in order to kill Bee/Nardo. The Go-kage are hamsters bent on their own power. They can't be trusted, Sauce is totally right about that.

Unless we get an answer from Naruto in 3 chapters, I think Naruto may actually lose this fight and lead into a sequel manga.

I have to correct you. Naruto never identified himself with a clan. Rather, it was a question of Sasuke the Uchiha trying to destroy Konoha of the Senju, and Naruto becoming the hero.

Thus, Naruto thought if they fight, they would both die, Sasuke will not be Uchiha anymore, and he would not be a hero.
