If you think of it, Sasuke just wants people to understand Itachi's sacrafice and wants to avenge his brother who suffered. Sasuke's doing something wrong, but he is a good guy. It's just Sasuke needs to get to know himself more.

doesn't everyone who reads or watches naruto understand sasuke's plight? thats basically the main story. he is a "bad guy" right now because he has no care for ninja world. he just wants someone to pay for itachi's life and death, and the leaf village is the only place he has to point his fingers. naruto will bring him back, i'm sure.
