Uzumaki Barrage was only used two times in the series.
Naruto underwent his element training because he wanted to catch up with Sasuke,FRS was just a result of that.
KM could be Naruto training to learn how to control the Kyuubi and transform in it.Which did'nt work obviously.

It wasn't Yamato's idea, it was Kakashi's idea and yes, it was because of Sasuke's strength that Naruto decided to get stronger, snd since Kakashi knew that Naruto would come back hungry for training, he decided to teach Naruto this technique. If Nnaruto never reunited with Sasuke then Naruto would never be whining about not being strong enough. I don't know where you got this from but don't be a biased fool.

In return he knew that he needed to get stronger to bring him back.
Kakashi decided to teach Naruto about chakra natures.
Naruto decided to learn it to get stronger than Sasuke.

This shouldn't be too hard to understand. Naruto's main focus and goal of learning the FRS was to gain the strength to best Sasuke and to have hi own incredible jutsu. It has nothing to do with him and Yamato's speech about the Kyubi. READ BETWEEN TEH DAMN LINES.

Sure, The reason behind Naruto's strength is his friends and Sasuke is one of his friends, just like the SO6P said.

However, you're neglecting to mention that Sasuke did the same after his reunion with team 7 on the bridge. That was the trigger behind him wanting to get his EMS.
