Impossible. Sasuke would have to focus on the ball; if he does he needs to shift his focus away from Nagato. That is a very bad thing to do.

If it was so easy, then Sasuke would've controlled the Baku and Itachi would've controlled Kabuto's snakes and Nagato's summons.

Nagato is a Rikudou (Uchiha+Senju) and has Doujutsu. Doujutsu generally has a way to combat illusions.

Preta Path can absorb all Ninjutsu - Nagato wasn't allowed to do jack against the attacks of other Edo Tensei.

Nagato has more chakra than Itachi and Sasuke combined- chakra's not going to ever be an issue for Nagato.
