Naruto a pawn to stimulate Sasuke? Something is going on with Sasuke Orchimaru and it seems Tobi know something a bit more about this boy.

If Tobi has witnessed Naruto's power and still considers him just a pawn and he knows the limits of his power this quite considerable power i really think Sasuke could be more of a threat than we can even imagine. Tho why? When will he become this threat and why on earth is Sasuke being stimulated more important than whats happening with Naruto!

Is Sasuke some kind of manifestation of what created the rage within the complete Ten Tails!

Its weird and Tobi is so cocky still he remains un phased so confident its sickening he's not down and out yet but maybe he will perish underestimating his opponents!

Tobi was in awe of Naruto's powers and was trying to reassure himself of the fact that Naruto wasn't meant to be so strong.
He said Naruto was meant to stimulate Sasuke's growth, that's what he was meant to do in Tobi's eyes. But whats really happened is a surprse to Tobi and he knows Naruto is stronger...much stronger.

Indeed something more is going on here..... Why desire Sasuke's power so much after all we have seen some of the extent of the power he posses in his eyes.

Then again Madara bring Asteroids down on peoples heads is pretty much Army wiping material. A power to be feared! If Sasuke has anything equivalent to that well.... Still i think a little more is going on here than just that something is growing in Sasuke and its not just his power!

Indeed Tobi is ignorant of Naruto i would have to agree and he will be killed because of this he is underestimating Naruto i believe! Then again he knows he has the 9 Tails on his side and he seems to know the extent of that power! Shame he's missing the part about the other Tailed beats being with Naruto now he has there names!

No fail here mate yes that could be true! The fact is he had seen 1st hand Narutos growth but still considered him a play thing for Sasuke even with the 9 Tails in Narutos control.

He's a rather powerful plaything for Sasuke dont you think? Why grow Sasukes power at all? Tobi surely knows that Sasuke is a random element one not directly under his control! Tobi LOVES control look at the Moon Eyes plan and the clones he created!

No Sasuke means something more than just Sasuke Uchiha he is something i believe and Tobi has a specific purpose for him!

Tobi surprise comes from him realising that Naruto is stronger than Sasuke and that he is not Sasuke's plaything at all. Rather his superior. That is what you failed to realise.

He wants/ needs sasuke to advance to a certain level otherwise his plan won't work. Not that it's confirmed, but if the rinnegan really is a nature advancement of the sharigan than tobi may need him to unlock it.

But at the end of the day all it boils down to is the fact that Tobi needs him to be strong enough to sync with the gedo statue. He said this way back not sure which chapter though (when sasuke first joined akatsuki, it's the reason Tobi took him on as a back up for nagato), but he said that sasuke wasn't strong enough at the time. He also was manipulating Nagato for the same reason (hence why I mention the rinnegan before). Since edo madara said that nagato must have grown to bring him back, the use of sasuke syncing with the statue may relate to a plan to resurrect Madara properly (not just edo).

He considers Naruto to be the ultimate stepping stone for Sasuke. It doesn't mean Naruto has to be weaker than him now, Sasuke is still in development stage. I doubt he has even surpassed Madara in his prime years who was fighting for his whole life and has alot better mastery over Sharingan, MS and EMS.

i think u have a point , for tobi to see naruto grow this much in power and still thinks he knows its limit then maybe this is not the last fight between them , maybe he is trying to make naruto to his limit (power) and then force sasuke to fight him so that sasuke can reach a specific lvl of power and be to week to control it (maybe wr looking at a rngin ) and then take it , or maybe he is not an uchiah and he is plaining for sasuke to reach a rngin lvl then kill him and rez. and use him to control the 10 tails ...either ways or more , i think till naw his plan is going according to him and he is just toying with naruto , and i think things r starded to be serius .... peace xd
