I've seen a thread on a nice theory that Sasuke could take a Tailed Beast Bomb just cause Madara could take one. But here's the thing, I dont think Sasuke's eyes are as sinister as Madara's yet. (
Now on to my theory.
You remember when Tobirama said that the strength of a sharingan depends on the hatred in they're heart? Madara lived over a 100 years (Im guessing). His hatred had time to grow. Sasuke is only 16, He has done good for the village, but he was corrupted by Oro, Darkness, Power, & revenge. Nobody was there to save Madara, except for Hashirama who he didn't listen to. But Sasuke still has friends (Whether he knows it or not). After Sasuke met Edo-Itachi his darkness died down a bit, making him question the existence of his new found goal.
Now since Madara's pain & hatred toward the leaf village grew over a spand of years, so did his susanoo, when he obtained the Rinnegan, his power grew, making him arrogant (as we can see in the manga) Sasuke obtained his Eternal Mangekyo because he wanted to kill Naruto, therefore showing that he was the greater of the two. But Sasuke is intelligent, he knows that there are many dooors that he hasn't opened yet and I hope that in the next few chapters he doesnt chose the path of revenge. I dont want him to help the alliance either, althought him killing obito would be a nice turn of events.
PS - Im not a sasuke fanboy. Im just stating my opinion
