sasuke knows rasengan

Minato taught kakashi the rasengan in which kakashi used his lightning affinity to make the chidori. Now when Sasuke was learning the chidori from kakashi who's to say that sasuke didn't learn rasengan first then had an affinity for lightning so used to the chidori because it was more affective against gaara. Plus Naruto didn't use it yet.

Think of it this way: Kakashi tried to fuse Lightning into the Rasengan. He failed and the result was the Chidori. The Chidori is NOT lightning mixed with Rasengan. Sasuke could know Rasengan, but that's Naruto's signature move. Kishi wouldn't take that away from him.

He didn't learn it then because he didn't know what it was when he saw Naruto use it first. There is a chance that he copied it however, and simply chooses not to use it for the same reasons Kakashi doesn't. It just doesn't fit his style. Not to mention using your rivals technique.

Are people forgetting the time when the two were on the hospital roof and hit the two water tanks? Sasuke was surprised at the damage that rasengan did compared to his chidori... if he know rasengan back then, he wouldn't have been so shocked at the damage that thing can do.

Chidori and Rasengan are two different jutsu' they are not a mother and daughter tech (meaning one did not come from the other). If you payed attention at all to the manga OR anime.. you would know all that I have stated above.

Now, since Sasuke does have sharingan, we can't say he doesn't know it now.. but he has no real use for it other than doing the combo that he did in todays update (Which I'm sure he can't since he doesn't know wind). So yeah.
