Where does Mitsuki fit into all of this mess, though?
The....Akatsuki? How are they in any way or form going to provide them with help if you already think that Sasuke & Naruto (who both can destroy the entirety of the akatsuki on their own) can't handle kara's leader, Jigen. Also, speaking of Naruto, how is "Jigen" exactly the one who kills Naruto if it already was implied that Kawaki was the one who defeated him?

and btw, Sasuke's not gonna get killed in a "single" chapter. He won't die without a struggle no matter how powerful Jigen is.

Kawaki said "I will even send you to the same place as the seventh". He did not say "I will send you to the same place that I sent the seventh".

Sasuke once said something very similar to this in regards to the third hokage.
