We still dont know what can rinnegan track and it's power yet, but we know for sure that Naruto can sense evil intention and it become as clear as day...

I dont think black zetsu has rinnegan before madara nor less likely sharingan and he able to change the text on the stone.
I guess Naruto with new power could do same and he is far more expert in chakra than he was now.

Black Zetsu is Kaguya's will I doubt he needs such things. All chakra originated from Kaguya :scorps:

He just doesnt know everything, so it is normal for him to say that and he actually want Naruto to settle down for once, so Naruto can become Hokage in peace. They are best pal after all.
