seriously, when u think about it sakura is really no different from many female lead of different anime. usually they are thunder, loud, beat the shit out the main character, are not among the strongest(they tend to be among the weakest), they are often helpless, cry, always scream for help(so the MC gona look like a BAWS) but compared to sakura many people like them a lot, in fact they have huge fanbase, and the reason they are liked unlike sakura is bc they compasate their negative points with things like selflessness, big heart, they care A LOT for other especially the MC, their willingness to throw away they life for others especially for the MC but u know what sakura also has those positive points but they are overshadowed by sasuke
Just an example of what i said above is someone like rukia.Of course unlike sakura she doesnt cry and all but she is loud, get saved, beat the shit out of ichigo, she is like a dictator to ichigo, she is not among the strongest but many people like her(myself included) and she got a huge fanbase, in fact in the latest bleach popularity poll she ranked in second place, outranking even ichigo the MC, the reason she is liked is bc of the positive traits a female lead has (like i pointed in the first part), she care a lot for ichigo, is extremelly selfless, she is funny. and all that stuff, but guess what sakura also has those positive point but like i said they are overshadowed by sasuke
let me explain why i said sasuke is the reason sakura fails. u see since the begining of the series sakura could have shown a lot of care, selflessness, to other if she wasnt a sasuke cockrider. sakura in part 2 treated naruto with care, respect and affection since shippuden started but in the eyes of the viewer it went out the window after the kage summit arc,now ask urself what is the reason, yes it's sasuke. the moment sasuke showed up in that arc she reverted into a bitch, disrespected naruto by lying to him, showed her selfishness again, was ready to leave her nakama in the middle of forest poisoined just bc sasuke showed up. see whenever sasuke is involved she is a total dislikeable character bc she treat other like dirt but when sasuke fade she is shown being nice to other and respect them.she didnt dare direspect naruto or treat other like crap at the bigining of shippuden since sasuke wasn't there but once sasuke showed up, kishi forgot about her positive aspect and ruined her cuz the sauce has arrived
I think kishi should handle sakura differently when sasuke is around,bc all her pathetic self comes out whenever sasuke is involved. kishi should let sakura stay selfless, kind to other, someone who cares for others even when sasuke is there, she can still beat the shit out of evryone or naruto or be loud(like many female lead) but she has to keep the positive trait of female lead as well even if sasuke enter the scene
