[Theory] Sasuke is testing Naruto.

If Sasuke used Rinne Tensei than he would die.

if you remember back in the pein arc konan said if nagato uses that jutsu at his current chakra level he would die its already shown sasuke has more chakra then nagato and isnt weakened since the rinnegan is his

Obito says that he would die regardless, and he had a ton of spare chakra at the moment. He also had a great amount of knowledge about the Rinne Tensei and the Rinnegan from Madara. ​

Well maybe I was wrong about that but it was just a thought. Its really the only way to truly test naruto's morals who is suppose to be the ultimate good guy. So by killing somebody he will make naruto want to kill him but if he does then the cursed world of hatred/killing wont end because even naruto can be pushed to kill even if it his best friend.

And with the info we have by reading and on the wikia I thought he might be able to use rinnei tensei.
Konan was worried about naguto using it only because of the fact he had very little chakra.

Obito was in a different situation though because he is reviving somebody long dead/edo tensei which would take alot more chakra which is why he would die. Even after he did revive madara he was still alive for a while even though he just had lost the 10 tails.

And neither of them owned the rennigan personally which sasuke does and on a different level.

Sasuke and naruto could also work together to revive them with yin/yang powers because we already seen that naruto healed both gai who was suppose to be dead and give obito some life back.

Well less testing if he would kill him more testing naruto's morals/beliefs, which his biggest is that he wont try to kill his best friend.
If naruto tries to kill him it proves that even the biggest good guy can throw away they're beliefs.
They would need to work together to create a revolution but it'll still be a long road to peace.
So he wants to make sure no matter what naruto will not change even if he gets betrayed or the people he is closest to die.
Sasuke wants naruto to not try and kill him no matter what. He wants naruto to prove that no matter what happens he will never give up his shinobi way.
