I don't recall sasuke trying to "Save" a Hokage.. all i recall is Sasuke trying to kill Madara to end the battle, and not caring about the Hokage..

1) don't attack from the top
2) don't attack from the back
3) don't attack from the sides
4) do attack from the front
5) especially attack from the bottom as it has the highest chance
6) attack from long range
7) use combination attacks
8) fight with an ally
9) use knives and stabbing weapons
10) use clones combined with blinding him
