Not necessarily. I personally think that love and power can go hand-in-hand. However, it's how the balance is maintained that is the key to being either good or bad. To me, Danzo was a bad person. He used his abilities to manipulate people to get what he wanted. Sure it was to protect the village, but it wasn't good. It's the same situation with Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto has maintained an excellent balance of love and power. Of course, in the beginning his power could overtake him and he would go berserk. But now he is able to control it since he and Kurama are friends and he uses it to protect others. He doesn't use his power to beat others into submission, and he certainly hasn't seen himself as superior to anyone. Love = power. Sasuke on the other hand has been using more power than love. What did he do when he wanted to kill Itachi? He went to Orochimaru to gain power. This led to him making one of the biggest mistakes of his life- killing his brother who was only trying to protect the village. Then what does he do? He decides to destroy the very same village Itachi wanted to protect. So he goes after Danzo for revenge, kills him, and then wants to become even more powerful (and stop going blind) by having Itachi's eyes implanted. It doesn't matter who stands in the way or who gets hurt. There is a pattern here. Power > love for Sasuke.

That's what I want Kishimoto put in the next chapters... I really can't assure that. Actions are not necesarily what they look like...

There is one thing that is sure about Sasuke: Nobody knows him 100%. That's why I'm expecting at least, taking the possibility of him being really overtaken by power, controling the power, or reaching balance between love and power.

This I can agree 100% on. Everything else...well...I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Kishi has in store. :)

Indeed. And I am almost sure this secret will be revealed inside the next 10 chapters.

PS: Congratulate me, my post 1500. At least, I can make a Hyuuga character in the RPG section... y_y XD

One can only hope so. I'm ready to see the So6P and have him clarify a few things.

Congratulations! I've got another 1000 posts left to go. x3

Let me see if I can explain this using a different classic story example. Let's consider Anakin Skywalker. Anakin loved his mother and Padme above all. At one point in the story, Padme questions Anakin asking if Jedi were allowed to love. Anakin, knowing full well that Padme is correct, responds that Jedi must have compassion for all things so in a way they are encouraged to love, however he is using this to justify a selfish need. He knows that there is a difference between possessive love and compassion, otherwise he wouldn't hide this from the Jedi. This love becomes twisted and Anakin's visions of Padme dying become his quest for power to prevent this from occurring. Eventually the visions become self fufilling as Padme dies from a labored child birth after being nearly killed by an enraged Anakin. Now an argument could be made that if the Jedi had not had this rule then Anakin would not have had to hide his love and all would have been fine but it is a catch 22. Anakin's possessive love cannot be the way of a Jedi who must avoid possessiveness and attachments so that they can have universal compassion.

Now in the end, Darth Vader's love for Luke overcomes his quest for power but look at the toll it took. You are not far off the mark though as folks are applying duahlistic thoughts to a non-duahlistic theme. The answer is that they (elder and younger) are both correct and both wrong and therein lies the gyakusetsu (paradox).

Sasuke's love is very possessive and attached to his brother, family, and clan. He does not exhibit compassion but feels (and possibly rightly so depending on your personal perspective), that he is justified. The Ninja system failed to have compassion towards his family and clan and that validates his actions to take such a system down.

Personally, I think that Sasuke will catch on to the fact that there is manipulation occurring behind the scenes and that like Darth Vader he will overcome this through his love of something else to overcome the true antagonist,,,,Halliburton.......
