Hello.
It is evident at this point that Sasuke is a reincarnation of Indra, so I want to make this thread to express that:
  1. Sasuke is indeed Indra's final reincarnation
  2. Naruto is Ashura's final recinarnation.
I have seen some people use the basis that Madara is the reincarnation of the Indra and therefore Sasuke can't be.
This is not the case; the Rikudo specifically stated that the brother's chakras transmigrated endlessly.
end·less (ĕnd′lĭs)
adj.
1. Being or seeming to be without an end or limit; boundless: an endless universe; an endless conversation.
2. Formed with the ends joined; continuous: an endless chain.

Meaning that over time, many were reincarnations of Indra and Ashura.
This goes back directly to Samsara, the cycle of suffering through constant rebirth.
  • The cycle ends once one reaches nirvana.
  • The final battle between Naruto and Sasuke will end this cycle.
Naruto and Sasuke are destined to face off one last time.

This foreshadowing from Kishi has been so evident, and I believe their last showdown will be the result of the parallel of a decision similar to:
NINSHUU or NINJUTSU
Meaning, Naruto will want to expand upon the original purpose of Hagoromo and Ashura:
  • Cooperation and Love is the Key
Or Sasuke:
  • Power is the key
  • Bijuu must burn
After this battle, the cycle will stop since Naruto will bring peace to the Shinobi World.

Final battle why would they need to battle that's the main reason why they're in this predicament. The best way to things in this manga is obviously TNJ.

Naruto will not kill Sasuke, it's just not in his character and at this point I don't think Sasuke really wants to kill Naruto, just the bijuu inside of him... which in turn will kill Naruto so there lies the problem.

i was one of the ones saying that Sasuke is not the Indra Reincarnation, but the Black Zetsu, was the Manifestation of Madaras will, hence , Madara still being a live in the sense. if it weren't for that, Madara would not have been able to regain his real body. but the fact is. Madara is alive. There can't be two Reincarnations, otherwise Madara who is doing the exact same thing as Indra would be fighting the will of the one he is following. yes it may have been flowing endlessly, and the sage only referred to Naruto as the inheritor of the will of Ashura. Indras will went to Madara, and madara Became indras will. Madara extended his will to Black Zetsu who through using people revived Madara. therefore, Indras will carried to Madara, moved to Zetsu, and then back to Madara. it can only continue on after Madara has been truly defeated. then when all is said and done, Naruto and Sasuke will have their fight, and Indras will, will most likely go to Sasuke giving credit to your theory.

Yea see reincarnation is when the original form dies it is born into a new one.... it seems people have forgotten Madara died, and so Sasuke has taken on the reincarnation of Indra... someone posted a thread about there being 2 halves of the reincarnation of Indra those halves obviously being madara and sasuke but im not sure who

The sage wants them to cooperate....none of the chosen one's have killed each other because they can't.

They are equal (the brothers)

Neither will allow their soul/"body" to be destroyed by the other brother.

If Naruto is the Successor then he knows that killing Sasuke won't stop hatred....Karin will hate him and the cycle continues, knowing that Karin has the chakra chains Naruto could be ended....not even joking, chains solo'd the bijuu all at once.

Also once Naruto dies then Karin will be hated and it still continues.

Naruto can't kill Sasuke even if he wanted to btw.

Two incarnations can't be alive at the same time as each incarnation shares the same soul, basically they are just one soul being revived over and over again.

If Madara and Sasuke are both the reincarnation of Indra, then Madara couldn't have been resurrected as he would literally BE Sasuke.

Essentially he would already be alive.

Where is all this killing coming from? Someone tell me what I said that has brought this idea up lol.
My point was that their battle will end the cycle not through someone's death but in my opinion moreso that Naruto wins.

Great notice, I noticed this myself after thinking about the most recent chapter. I believe after the war, maybe Sasuke helping the good side, and Naruto telling about Itachi's truth, will make Sasuke in the clear, but watched, heavily. How could they deny Naruto if he said Sasuke wouldn't hurt anyone? He's gained everyone's upmost respect and trust, and they believe in him. Sasuke will come back to the village after the war, what I think is that when the war is done, Sasuke will give a speech to Naruto, and Naruto will sigh, being slightly disappointed with Sasuke's way of reign, however he would possibly understand. Tsunade will step down such as the third did, Naruto and Sasuke will battle it out for Hokage. Resembling their first fight when Sasuke completely swoop the floor with him, and the Chunnin finals we were all dying to see all those years ago. The battle will be fierce, completely equal, but Naruto will be slightly stronger and win. Back in the SO6P days, Indra wasn't chosen as successor, and attacked the younger brother in rage instead of joining his side. Sasuke will attack Naruto, to become Hokage, as Madara did to Hashirama. I don't know if Sasuke will die or not, but I always thought he would die in the end, or if Sasuke will finally tell Naruto he was right. That's how I see the ending, just my opinion.

Just to reiterate what the OP is asserting, he is pointing out that this will be the final battle to decide the fate of the Curse of Hatred. Hagoromo, Ashura and Naruto. All one line of parallelism, all have attributed their beliefs to connecting and cooperating with others. Whereas (Possibly Hagoromo's brother), Indra and Sasuke, all believe that power, and by extension Ninjutsu (contrasting the prior 3's belief in Ninshuu) is needed to enforce peace. If Naruto kills Sasuke, he goes against the teachings of Ninshuu and the will of Hagoromo and Ashura. If Sasuke kills Naruto, it belittles the possibility of connecting people and the Curse of Hatred continues to live on as if Sasuke wins, it paints a picture that his views (and by extension Indra's) were right. The only way to end the Curse is for Naruto to win the fight, but not kill Sasuke, but to change his views about peace and the system, and basically finish what Hagoromo started; connecting people.

Thanks, I feel that Sasuke can only become hokage if Naruto does not decide to go through with it. But at this point him not becoming hokage would seem lame considering that was his life-long goal, though I feel that Naruto may take on the role of a the Rikudo being that his teachings are not confined to his village alone.

Glad to see someone understood what I meant, and I agree.
