I still don't see the reason the kage and Naruto have to die. Sasuke could easily just represent the "overall darkness" alone and take that darkness with him.

Honestly I think this would make his character 100 times better. It would also explain Sasuke's sad looks before he declared his revolution. Sort of like a "coming to terms with his fate" sort of thing.

Alas, I don't think Kishi would bless Sasuke with such an awesome twist, as it would make Sasuke very Lelouch like. It would also make him very Itachi-like.

His plan would be EXACTLY like Itachi's actually. Have Naruto go all out on him and Naruto becomes a hero of the leaf
