this right there you said it man......This was the path given to him by Naruto.....Before he was just gonna kill the elders and destroy konoha......Now he is focussed on Naruto......That was Naruto's path for him.....And yeah don't forget that Naruto could have killed him last time...He was all injured by the fights with kages and danzo......Don't say me tobi was there.....He didn't have his rinnegan that time....And Zetsu not much powerful like tobi said.....Naruto had SM and his shuriken justsu.......Kakashi was there too......

Naruto never intended to fight Sasuke to the death. He only decided that when he heard of Sasuke's goals.

Sasuke wants to kill Naruto because he's the only one who stands in his way. It has nothing to do with him being a pawn of Naruto.

This was all Naruto's plan to stop sasuke....Now he is concerned with Naruto....he won't go back to konoha now where there are no ninja to protect......instead he is going to naruto's battlefield.....To fight with him and like naruto said they may end up dying......
PS Naruto always knew they will end up together after the fight in death valley.....
