Juugo questions Sasuke’s thoughts?

Since evaluating is going on, can we think about something other than a pairing or Sakura's "useful encounter"?
Does Sasuke have like some kind of hidden motive? I'm positive that it was meant to foreshadow a lot. I cannot help but feel a bit wary of Sasuke’s true intentions. Is this all part of Sasuke’s plan? To feign his loyalty to the alliance? Or are these his true intentions, to protect the village his brother also protected?
I can't help but have second thoughts that even if he does ultimately help to save the leaf, he might backfire with some crazy jack trap of some sort. We've been shown evidence he's unpredictable up to this point. It Isn't impossible.
