Indra wasn't power hungry like Madara. It was Sage's fault for giving his entire legacy over to Ashura just because he pitied him and valued his slow progress more. Anyone in his shoes would be outraged, given that he was his father after all. I don't see what Indra did was any more wrong or right than Ashura.
Valuing Individuality over Corporation isn't a crime, so Indra cannot be classified in this manner. Madara needed power for his God Tree Plan. He didn't exactly take it for himself - it's all arbitrary here as well. We know he wants to alter things, change the world. It's just another path, a different one from Naruto's and even Sasuke's.
Sasuke desired absolution for his ill-fated Clan. Whatever he did, was out of love for his brethren. All of these men have their own ideologies, their own values - they all sought closure in their own manner. I think all of them are alike, because they fought hard for their ideals, as it concerned things more than just Self-preservation. But paradoxically, they are dissimilar as well, as their goals, aside of the term itself, do present different conflicts.
This is my take on it. It was a good read regardless. Thanked and Repped.
