Sasuke in The Last

I watched Naruto: The Last yesterday and I realized Sasuke didn't have the Rinnegan in his left eye. I thought he couldn't deactivate it.

Yeah...

No. I don't accept that. Even if it was a mistake, even if they forgot to add the Rinnegan. I believe the mistake is him not being able to deactivate the dojutsu. Madara was able to activate/deactivate it.

I doubt that is true. That's like the only time we saw Sasuke w/o his Rinnegan activated. Any other time it's either displayed to be on or covered by his hair.

Madara could never deactivate it. That was because he was an edo, and his body had been modified by Kabuto. After he was revived, he always had it on.

I meant that it would be better if he could deactivate it. I'm sure it's a constant drain of chakra, even when it's covered, like Kakashi said in reference to his borrowed Sharingan. But, I mean, we never saw Hagoromo without the Rinnegan, so I guess it can't be deactivated.

Oh yeah, sasuke can definitely turn off his rinnengan. Even tho, that only happened once he can surely deactivate it whenever he wants. It's not like he uses his long hair to hide it or anything.
