As powerful as Sasuke would be, raw power isn't the sole criterion for Kage-ship. He is moody, unstable, and doesn't work well with others. Not exactly leadership material. He would have made an excellent replacement for Danzo as head of Root, though.

In all respect I had for Sasuke...the possibility was always there....think about what skills he might have then instead of the skills he has now. Would he have EMS? Probably, probably not....Would he have the same outlook for the village once the truth came out about WHY Itachi killed his clansmen??

I think he probably would have...as much as I don't like the crybaby, I have to see and look at the possibilities....Even though he'd still have to fight Naruto for the title as he's promised Konohamaru.....still I think he'd have a great possibility.

If he didn't leave then Danzo wouldn't have died, and Danzo would never let an Uchiha become a hokage. And I don't think the elders would let that happen either. And he definitely wouldn't replace Danzo as the leader of root I'm pretty sure they are like anti-uchiha.
