Sasuke is not stupid for wanting to do this. I already knew this is where it was heading when he learned the truth. It's time for a change after how much pain the village has caused with the Elders and Danzo. Instead of killing innocent people, he wants to remake it where no one would suffer like that again. His heart is in the right place, but how he's going about it is most likely not going to end with everyone loving him.
