I think you're right, Sasuke more was like a lone wolf in his childhood even into his teens, he always did things alone and was proud of his power. unlike madara who had hashirama, and the uchiha clan,

madara always wanted to protect a loved one(izuna) while sasuke hated itachi and wanted to kill him.

A) Sasuke awaken both a better Ms/EMS doujutsu .

B) Sasuke also have a better doujutsu (sharinnegan or jubi eye) at a younger age in his life time compare to Madara.Madara have to weight till he adult or old age to unlock these power.

C) Sasuke have a better chances against Hashirama with his EMS and skills,compare to Madara if they swap era.

I believe the reason why Sasuke his so strong at this age because he grow up with hatred toward alot of stuff(konoha,brother,elder,shinobi system etc) compare to Madara,who just grow up in war.What you think?

A) Madara mentioned Sasuke having the same straight commas (relating to him)

B) Madara gained rinnegan near his death (He may have been able to attain them early if he had some help), Sasuke gained rinnegan after expressing his ideals when he met Hagoromo

C) Madara had much more experience and exceptional chakra (even for an Uchiha)

I personally think the reason Sasuke/Naruto getting powerups frequently because Kishi is in a hurry to finish the story.
