Agree, ppl love to claim Naruto has plot armor for being a main character but act like sauce won and survived all his confrontations due to pure skill and luck. His plot armor is just as thick.

Here's the thing, Sasuke gets matched up against opponents who usually involve OHKOs in their moveset. (Danzo, Deidara, Kabuto, A) So it's just more BS when Sasuke wins battles because conveniently none of Deidara's OP techs are OP any longer or he has a deus ex machina brother to save him from Kabuto's attacks etc etc.

Naruto and Sasuke both get saved by the plot often but a good writer can veil this discretely rather than throwing them up against situation they should not be able to get out of. Sasuke's power gets messed around with often.

In early Shippuden he can get the edge on all of Team 7 along with Yamato in one go. Later he's getting murked by Onoki and Mei. He's running rings around Gaara in the stadium but then beaten no difficulty by him in the Forest. Sasuke can defeat Temari & Kankuro casually, but gets humiliated by the ninja they no diff'd later (Sakon/Ukon)

He's completely inconsistent power-wise, whilst Naruto at least has the 9 Tails excuse for a changing power level.

Sasuke didn't die because it didn't say he was stabbed in the heart.
However Naruto surviving was plot armour his heart was pretty much cut out all over and any pumping (Sakura) would increase the cuts killing him faster.
However arsepull no jutsu saved his life.

Then don't write him into these situations if you want him to get out of them. Breaks immersion and goes into deus ex machina territory.

Sasuke's power was meddled with throughout the show/manga.

Somehow, Sasuke cannot beat Gaara but was running circles around him in the exams.

Somehow, Sasuke refuses to use his Sharingan in a fight against four Sound Ninja, and his curse-mark is utterly useless.

Sasuke is somehow even to Naruto at the hospital, despite having trained for five years and receiving a good amount of taijutsu training from Kakashi while Naruto played pranks and just learned a random A-Rank jutsu from Jiraiya.

Sasuke is unable to kill Mei or Ay, despite having been able to seriously wound Itachi and whoop Team 7's ass by himself in combat.

Sasuke is somehow unable to best Naruto in combat despite Naruto having poor experience due to easily brushing off fights with unreasonably powerful attacks or being taken over by Kurama.

Naruto get's into tight situations that he shouldn't be able to survive all of the time, with the Nine-Tails being his excuse. Stop heavily sympathizing with the underdog and look at the facts. Naruto walks into a situation with full power, loses and unleashes a power that isn't his in order to win, while Sasuke's abilities are "forgotten" for the sake of making a spicier fight.
