Nagato was not in control of his body so you cant say that. Not to mention he was in no danger of dying. The deva path can blow it off as soon as it hits him an you know it.

And furthermore sasukes eyes can control summons like manda. so he definently has a chance. Pain is more brute force than brains.

1st amaretsu has already proven absorption is not a option
Also taijutsu alone takes care of fat pain

2nd you really have no proof due to the opponents pain faced has no genjutsu except for ma & pa whose genjutsu is audio.
Simply he hasn't been shown fighting any one using visual genjutsu on top of that negato himself is a student of jiraiya so its only logical he isn't good at genjutsu aswell

Sasuke is an uchiha with the ms. He can pick up something as slight as a 5 second interval.
