He simply does not have the Rinnegan. His eye is more powerful than the Rinnegan, it is the same power that Kaguya had, and the same eye that the Juubi will use to cast Infinite Tsukyiomi. It is a sharingan.

And Sasuke Fanboys, don't get upset, this is a good thing for your angsty anti-hero, the rinnegan is weaker than Kaguya's eye, or the Juubi's eye whichever you choose to call it, I'd prefer Sharingan as that is what Hagoromo called it when he referred to his mothers power.

Just because Madara says something, does not mean it is true, he is ignorant of what Sasukes new power really is, and called it the Rinnegan because it looked like it, but we the viewer know it is more than that, dramatic irony at its finest.

Thank you. People need to realize just because it comes out of a characters mouth, doesn't mean it is Kishi's final word on the matter. Manga facts are not always facts, they are sometimes character assumptions which are taken out of context from the situation.

Look at it this way: The Mangekyo Sharingan isn't the same as a normal Sharingan, but is still called Sharingan because of it's properties. Sasuke's Rinnegan can be seen as the same way, he got the normal Rinnegan we'll seen since Pein, but upgraded. I guarantee it's going to officially be called Perfect Rinnegan or something in the manga

The thing is, its is the exact same eye as Kaguyas and the Juubi, the color makes no difference as we do not definitely know the color of the Juubi's or Kaguyas (If I am wrong and missed an offical coloring [not anime] of the eye of Kaguya and the Juubi as being red show me the page please) If all 3 of their eyes are purple, it wouldn't make them all Rinnegan. However if Sasukes is purple like you seem to think and the other 2 are red, then yes you have a point, but you are assuming a shit ton right there.

And the Byakugan is somewhere in the list, I just don't know where it would be placed.

Hagoromo's word over Madara's. Madara doesn't know what it is, and called it the Rinnegan, if he had exclaimed "oh my the byakugan!" it still wouldn't make it the Byakugan. This is dramatic irony, the viewer knows more than the characters, in this situation, we know, or should know if we arn't idiots, that this is Kaguya's/Juubi's eye which both can cast infinite Tsukyiomi. Not the rinnegan.
