There are many ways to defeating Bijuu. I'd say Sasuke is the best at it. Doesn't even have to lift a finger.

Naruto's way, he actually had to battle Kyuubi and almost lost if it wasn't for Killer Bee and Kushina and this is just one bijuu he fought using mostly his own power:
