Now, everyone knows I'm a big Sasuke fan. Being his fan, however, doesn't blind me to his flaws. I like him bc he's innovative with his jutsus, noble at his core (or as Kishi calls him, Pure) though flawed, unpredictable, and is basically what kept me reading the story to the end.
That said, I was looking at the panels from Gaiden where cute little Sarada kept asking Sakura about her dad. And I saw how Sakura was trying to explain things to her and how she'd comfort a saddened Sarada. Then I just got pissed off. Pissed off at the fact that Sakura had been carrying this emotional burden for all these years, taking care of that little girl and Sasuke gets to just waltz in, give everyone a forehead poke, and all is forgiven. He didn't even have to explain his reasons for not contacting his family in all those years even once.
Then it reminded me--the mothefcker has NEVER had to deal with the consequences of his actions.
When he left the village and committed his crimes--though I completely understand and support his actions and his hatred and his pain, all Naruto ever did was make excuses for him and try to get ppl to pardon him.
When he stabbed Sakura via genjutsu, she healed him as if nothing happened.
Then there was the Orochimaru betrayal...then the Karin stab....then the Taka abandonment after the gokage brawl.....after all of that, everyone just fell back into line as if nothing happened....
I get that he was on a mission, but come on man. I could see if he was undercover CIA pretending to be a Taliban member or something. Then yea, you're on an undercover mission and can't contact your family lest you be discovered and you put them in danger. But that wasn't the case here. Dude could've sent a damn letter once in a while. This was just a case of Sasuke doing whatever tf he wants and no one bats an eye. They just fall in line.
WTF?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
I overlooked all of that until the Sarada stuff and it really pissed me off. This made me think of all the single mothers in the world who work hard to raise their kids and give them a good like and have to deal with the issues and anger their kids develop from not having a father. I've seen it time and time again. The kids hate the mother and blame her for them not having a damn. Then the POS father stops by for an hour and he's the best thing since sliced bread.
So this got me thinking: what is it about Sasuke that makes him so immune to consequences (besides plot)? Does the world just love beautiful ppl and will forgive them of anything like that chick in One Piece?
Is his pimp hand simply that godly?
Is he just lucky?
I mean, WTF?!
