okay so the bogus statement sasuke said to naruto:

You must be registered for see images

this statement really ruined sasukes character for me, considering the fact that what narutos done even without including what naruto can still do dwarfs what sasuke could do in the same scenarios and situations simply because of chakra reserves, and also sasuke really is just getting started. so this week the mangapanda translation was far closer to the official viz release. sorry sasuke fanboys while the effect is the same for givig naruto hope back it wont be the same for you.

the official translation for that panel is: "you throwin in the towel naruto? cuz im not". this is also undeniable proof that naruto did lose hope and that sasuke brought it back, but we all know the sasuke fanboys were druling over mangastreams tranlation for different reasons.

WHichever version of this chapter makes you feel better. However the viz translation isn't necessarily more accurate. It has been known to have many bad translations. (That has nothing to do with this chapter, I'm just saying in general)

the bolded part, i dont know how to post viz and even if i did i wouldnt post it for several other reasons. its cheap if you want proof you can buy it, a mistranlation like this can ruin a character for some and make big differences in the meaning of the words for others. true fans would pay the mere 24 dollars a year in order to get the real deal. i like to support the author on top of that and encourage others to do the same.

also there is a law coming soon to america which will be pushed on the rest of the western world which will make simply vieing copyrighted material illegal, which im sure would include ***********. so the chances are that if you are reading this, then you will be forced to buy the viz anyway when and if this law passes as that will be the end of being able to legally view unofficial version of the material for free.


also there are other people on the base, real fans, that will back me on this. there is more ways to prove something then posting material that might get you into legal trouble later. when other viz subscribers come then only an idiot would refute that this is the real translation.

you havent said anything i havent already mentioned. i said if anything this proves that. i was just addressing the sasuke fanboys who were getting hyped up about the fact he basically told naruto he wasnt impressed and that he was just getting started in the *********** version, when it isnt the case, and sasuke stating such a thing would just be points against his character anyway.

No, it's A translation, and no more. The Japanese language is too complex to give a single 'best' translation, at the end of the day, it's down to the individual's opinion as to what fits best. And as I pointed out previously, Viz has been way off the mark with translation.

Do your research before stating utter tripe.

About the only thing the Viz Translation has over MangaPanda and *********** is legal connections and legitimacy. Viz Media just translates what the Japanese text says to the best of their abilities. They can't make absolute accuracy of the written.

But it doesn't matter, at the end day the Naruto Verse will be overtaken by Wooden Battle Droids. They'll kill all the men and take their women instead.

i never said anything about the limits of sasukes abilities. i said he was literally just starting compared to naruto whom has spent more chakra in a second since everyone started fighting the juubi then sasukes entire chakra pool. and on top of that sent a shadow clone to every battlefield to even further his chakra usage. naruto started getting serious along time ago sasuke wont even start getting serious till next chapter. and only a fool would deny what i said about chakra pool differences but for sasuke thats not what defines his power like it is for naruto. and as far as agreeing about the proof then read the post i gave the other guy. you can choose to believe it or not but it is what it is and wheter you believe it doesnt change anything. more people will comment backing me up

In the case of ViZ, well, I understood almost the same with MangaPanda, but ViZ version shows a cocky Sasuke... relatively.

The problem is that ViZ shows a Sasuke that thinks Naruto is inferior (superiority complex as part 1), but the MangaPanda version shows a Sasuke that invites Naruto to do better (character development).

I don't know what is written in the raw. I would like an expert translator here.

i agree with this, and what sasuke said in *********** was probably meant to say the same thing. but the second half ruined it. any way you look at it there is a whole other interpretation you can get from the *********** trasnsltion and that interpretation would ruin his character for anyone other than a sasuke fanboy who thinks its funny when sasuke puts down naruto and downplays what he did as nothing impressive compared to what sasuke thinks he can do despite the obvious jealousy. viz worded it perfectly, it cant possibly be misconstrued by anyone, fanboys and nonfanboys alike, and it had a huge impact on naruto's psyche which is a huge positive and earns bonus points for sasukes character, ven if he was just standing there when the tree was about to kill naruto.

me too. i dont mind sasuke being cocky, thats the relationship hes supposed to have with naruto, like you said thats how they were in part one where naruto and sasuke were already close even if they didnt admit it. but i thought mangastreams translation went way too far.

--- Which of these is Sasuke? It is a huge difference between doing bullying and taunting.

PS: Yes, in the practice for light readers it seems to be the same. But if you look it with perspective, it can mean a character downgrade or a character development for Sasuke.
