He have a 17 yr old hormonal teenager who's got some major family issues vs a blood thirsty clan leader who is a seasoned veteran that can keep up with Hashirama (madara couldn't defeat Hashirama until he became an Edo with upgrades against a distracted fatigued Hashirama)

Except Naruto doesn't use borrowed power for those who brought him up. To borrow something is having the intention of returning what you borrowed. Naruto was given Kurama and each time Naruto uses Kurama's chakra he is given it by Kurama except the chakra he took from Kurama after fighting him which made it taken power.

Madara took Hashirama's cells so that's taken power not borrow power since he didn't plan on returning anything. Sasuke was given Itachi eyes since Itachi plan to leave his eyes for Sasuke; Sasuke didn't go after Itachi to take his eyes like Madara did with Hashirama. SM can be consider as taken power since you take natural energy from the environment. Hagoromo Sun/Moon seals were borrowed since they were returned to Hagoromo while his Yin and Yang chakra were given powers.
