At yellow: Senjutsu doesn't have to be balanced, sage mode does. Senjutsu is anything using physical energy (stamina), spiritual energy, and natural energy together. I could be wrong on this but I can't see naruto balancing all of the natural energy kurama gave to him for his NE RSs as vote 2. Or perhaps the chakra in the technique has to be balanced. Will look more into that

As for rest, you can absorb senjutsu. The natural energy part becomes the problem if they can't handle it, and that most likely varies with people. Basic chakra I don't think had ever been a problem for anyone.

That's what I meant you can absorb senjutsu chakra pain and Madara did it. But when pain tried to absorb raw NE he couldn't control it and turned into a stone toad. Sages and sage mode users have to have NE (become one with nature) to produce senjutsu.
