When he fought Sasuke, he used to close one of his eyes after using it too much just to rest. But that doesn't mean he couldn't desactivate Mangekyo Saringan. Same analogy for Sasuke now.

The difference being Itatchi was going blind in the eye so he had to close it our he'd lose his vision faster. Also Sasuke didn't deactivate it even when not in a fight. I don't think it's a very good analogy.

Saying that Sasuke can de-activate his new Doujutsu just because he closed his eyes is like saying Kakashi can de-activate his sharingan because he keeps it covered up. Your evidence isn't supporting your hypothesis.

But, actually, we haven't seen him deactivate his normal Mangekyo Sharingan (right eye) yet, he has kept both eyes activated during the whole Kaguya arc. Would that mean he cannot deactivate Mangekyo Sharingan either?

No he's deactivated his MS a few times. He goes to regular sharingan, and we've seen him completely deactivate his right eye before.

Yeah, I mean now that he has Rinnegan. Because he would deactivate MS and Rinnegan at the same time, but he hasn't deactivated both of them yet, and that doesn't mean he cannot.

You are making no sense....like none at all.

His RIGHT eye can deactivate which is the sharingan

HIS LEFT EYE......which is the RINNEGAN.....has NEVER been deactivated, even when the right was.

Being bruised is not sufficient evidence he can deactivate it. People don't seem to realize Hagoromo gave him the eye, though unlike the biological fashion of Nagato's eye transplantation, it is a mystical fashion. In any case, the scan is posted: Sasuke's Rinnegan cannot be deactivated.

How can you tell he cannot deactivate the Rinnegan? We've seen him deactivating the Sharingan, but you have not seen him deactivating it while AT THE SAME TIME deactivating his other eye, that is, the Rinnegan one. Which means you can't claim he cannot deactivate it, because you haven't seen him deactivating both of his eyes AT THE SAME TIME.

Dude... that is WHY people are saying he can't deactivate the rinnegan! Of course we can't know for sure, but LOGICALLY if he powers one eye down to reg sharingan and NOT the other, it would bear to reason that he CAN'T power it down. Why else would only power down one eye?

I must be more precise here. I mean that you have not seen both eyes open while he is deactivating the Sharingan one, because the Rinnegan eye was closed or because any other reason, the Rinnegan eye was not visible to check whether he had deactivated it or not. Check this pages, for example:

As you see, he has a normal eye, and then activates Sharingan. BUT, we cannot know if his Rinnegan is active or not while he has his normal right eye, because he has the left eye closed. We haven't actually seen BOTH eyes open at the same time, while he activates/deactivates one of them, in order for us to claim that he cannot deactivate Rinnegan basing on the fact that he deactivates Sharingan but not Rinnegan at the same time.

Yes, yes we have that's what everyone keeps saying to you. Just look at the very first panel of this chapter. You can see clear as day, reg sharingan in one eye and rinnegan in the other. There are literally a dozen other examples. He power down his eye from ms to reg sharingan, why didn't he power down both?

Since we have not seen him power it down, the onus is on YOU to prove he can. There is no evidence suggesting he can power down his rinnegan other than Madara did it, and they clearly have different eyes and ways they obtained them.

Actually edo Madara did deactivate it. First, he was summoned without it, then he downgraded his rinnegan to MS to put A in a genjutsu.

He deactivated his sharingan when he was talking with Hashirama, when the kage were first brought back.

So yes, he can deactivate his eternal mangekyou, and very possibly his rinnigan as well.
