Yeah this makes no sense at all. All hashirama did is give sasuke the rest of his chakra and taught him a jutsu to stop madara

Sasuke now has senjutsu chakra, he now has the recipes for making Rinnegan stew, the only thing remaining is a "near death experience", which Madara just handed to him on a platter of gold.
Opinions pls, hasn't sasuke's chances of obtaining the Rinnegan just sky rocketed to a 110%?

i agree this is the only possible way sasuke will live if he activates the rinnengan. there is no one with enough chakra to heal at the moment besides orochimaru using his white snake or karin but they are out of reach and sasuke got stabbed in his heart. madara only required hashi dna afte returning via edo tense(which was given by kabuto) and when he died the first time he was living using hashiramas chakra from the giant tree. he did not have his dna then because if he did he would have been younger looking due to hashis healing power

Makes no sense. How would awakening rinnegan prevent him from dying?

Secondly what you said about Madara flies in the face of just plain manga FACT. Of course Madara had hashi DNA before he died, or he wouldn't have had rinnegan to summon the mezzo or give to Nagato.

Lastly, no one ever said having hashi dna will keep you young like some new age face cream.

Why do people think that a "near death experience" is the last ingredient for rinnegan? Madara never said that. For all we know, the last ingredient is decades of waiting.
