Naruto's hair...

Why I am I the only one who comments on that sh*t!? It looks so bad, it had the potential to look so much better. Ha, I've just been told I'm somewhat obsessed about this, but gah - it looks so bad, it's bugging me to no end.

Back to Sasuke...
Yup. Cloak. It's the basic concept of white vs. black, yin vs. yang, light vs. dark etc etc etc.

Sasuke would be like Danzo, if he were Hokage. He's not especially compassionate, nor kind or caring. He's cold, aloof, selfish and in possession of a rather problematic superiority/inferiority complex.

That and no one would want to follow him - especially Shikamaru. Rookie 9/Konoha 11, those who know him (that speaks volumes).

... but they did take Tsunade back. But she did her time fighting wars, in becoming a Sannin, furthering Konoha's med-nin blah etc. You could argue she paid her dues, and suffered for it.

Sasuke left as a genin, for the man who killed their Hokage and invaded their village. He gave them (the village) nothing - and recent events have shown his clan and those who possess their gekkei genkai are predisposed to be emotionally/metally unstable to the point of insane with tendencies for mass genocide and attacking their Hokage, Jinchuriki and the village itself.

Obito Uchiha. Madara Uchiha. Itachi Uchiha (....and he's the nice, loyal one - the kid who slaughtered a clan that had to consist of civillians and children as well as traitorouss shinobi)
.... no really good P.R, you know?

Itachi For Hokage
That would make awesome fanfiction is if somehow the Uchiha coup was circumvented (not by Itachi) - and then Hizuren took Itachi on has his protege, given the failure that is his previous students (Jiraiya a pervy hermit sage, Tsunade a chronic gambling drunk with hemophobia, Orochimaru the mad scientist who uses children to expiement upon).
Thus begins the road to greatness for Itachi-sama, Godaime Hokage.
:yayy:

You do know current sasuke is nothing like what you describe
The last 2-3 chapters prove it
love for team taka and team seven prove it
You take instances where he makes a choice but turn around and praise the most selfish character itachi
Even naruto can be viewed as selfish and "aloof"

Anyways people say sasuke would be danzo but that's far from the truth sasuke is more like tobirama and minato while naruto is more like hashirama and saru one just views the world for what it is the other of what it can and should be (realist vs optimistic)

The last 2-3 chapters don't prove sh*t when it comes to public opinion and general consensus about Sasuke Uchiha.
His "love" is somewhat limited and given evidence in Part I & 2 it is lacking.

Bah. Itachi wasn't selfish. He was a pacifist who understood the bigger picture. His whole life revolved around the needs of the many - with the exception of Sasuke.
Killing Sasuke would be like asking Obito to kill Rin. Impossible. It's not a case of being selfish.
You could argue his methods were selfish, using Sasuke as a means of murder/suicide, but he has strong (& ingrained) feelings regarding his Clan. Fitting a Uchiha, one he wronged most of all - would be the one to kill him, earning Sasuke kudos from the village and proof of his loyalty.
Backfired... somewhat (a lot), but again he admitted as much to Naruto.

... Naruto isn't aloof. As a distinctive character trait, he isn't. Sasuke is. Kind of simple and pretty evident throughout the manga.

Everyone can be selfish - true.
But Sasuke is more so than most, in a significant and damaging way. Damaging to himself, the village, the Uchiha legacy, his team mates, his own life.

To put it simply - his past, his previous actions, (likely) public opinion of him, his reputation amongst Konoha-nin, his doing f*ck all for the village for years, being mentally unstable (psychotic), having publically announced/intended to slaughter said village you want him to become Hokage of; all make him rather ineligible for the position of Hokage.

Danzo Argument
Minato - not even close. Minato slaughtered countless enemy shinobi, he was ruthless in that sense. But he was also a goofball who openly loved his girlfriend, was polite (even when addressing Orochimaru). If anything he was a cross between Hashirama and Tobirama. Inventive with techniques, intellectual genius with a talent for fuinjutsu - but with bouts of goofish-ness.

Tobirama - closer. But no. Tobirama put the village first, above all. Not a concept Sasuke is remotely familar with.

Danzo - displayed the inferiority/superiority complex so evident in Sasuke, a central aspect of his personality that fundementally rules/defines him as a person.
Both allied themselves with Orochimaru.
Both willing to utilitise unethical science to further their own goals, regardless of the cost.
Both willing to sacrifice their own soliders/people to suit their own ends.

You do know that Sasuke wanting to be Hokage was him merely attempting to follow Itachi's example, right?

XD

1. He shares DNA with Itachi, so that's not possible.

... that is all.

That's why Naruto chased after him for years, was gone ape shit in 4-tailed Kyubi for him, was beaten by Choji's wife for him, bowed before Raikage for him, and hyperventilated for him...

While Sasuke had his own business, and goals.

It was always Naruto who meddled in Sasuke's business, and even Sasuke himself said to him that it is better for Naruto to train, than to chase after him.

As far as Sasuke was concerned, neither first VOTE fight wouldn't have happened, since he at first just wanted to leave.

But Kishi being Kishi, he just had to retcon Sasuke at the very end into him always being jealous even though it was always shown before that Sasuke had his own concerns.
Just to hype Naruto more, for hype itself.

Good looking genius, good at pretty much everything, being jealous of a guy who was basically clown of the series, and comic relief character at his best moments (and even then he wasn't really funny), made relevant thanks to Kyubi (who himself was much better character than Naruto).

The very idea is as ridiculous, as rich guy being jealous of poor guy who doesn't have anything.

I won't go into power itself, because it's not important to me, but speaking in a jokingly way about Sasuke who had all the right, and personnal reason for acting the way he did, not saying it was all tolerable, but understandable; when Naruto himself was a walking joke of unrealistic forgiveness and peace, along with his "nindo" that was pretty much "I beat you, so I'm right", and that complex of his to be aknowledged by everyone.

Person Naruto was is like when you give an idiot too much power, and suddenly his idiotic, and naive ways become not so idiotic anymore.

I don't even want to go into Kishimot making Naruto so unrealistic, that he enabled him to "talk some sense" into cold-blooded killers, when even adults who could have probably more relate with those killers, and realism of the world, couldn't.

Let us be honest, Naruto was always nothing more than a main shonen character at his worst, with all his screentime and relevance.

Even other Naruto type characters like young Obito, Jiraiya, and Yahiko were better than him.

Sasuke himself could have been better character himself, but compared to Naruto, he was gold.
