Now i'm not certain how Sasuke's development will potentially make him the final villain. I've heard people around NB and other sites saying Sasuke will become the final antagonist of the series. I believe that Kishimoto had potential of making Sasuke a great villain, but now i'm not sure if Kishimoto should make him one. I'm not against the idea of Sasuke being evil and pursue his own goals. However, Sasuke doesn't want world domination or something near that caliber. Unless Sasuke wants to destroy all the villages -- is it worth to see him become evil again? Sasuke has given up his goal to destroy Konoha due to keeping Itachi's promise. The only person that Sasuke needs to kill is Madara to end the hatred once and for all. What will propel Sasuke's hatred to become evil now? Unless Oro takes control of Sasuke, Sasuke steals Rinnegan from Madara only to be controlled in the end, or some other plot twist. I just can't see Sasuke have the reedeming qualities of a FV.
This is my assessment of Sasuke's potential role as a final villain:
1.) Has the attitude? Check.
Sasuke has an attitude to carry the villain role pretty well. Sure, Sasuke isn't the best villain, but he has potential to become one.
2.) Has goals? Semi-Check.
Sasuke seems to lack direction right now. The main thing right now is getting rid of the threat i suppose... However, Sasuke doesn't seem to have a common goal right now. Will he eradicate the tail-beasts? Will Sasuke focus on destroying other villages to get rid of the system? I won't say that Sasuke doesn't have something in mind but it's not clear.
3.) Has relevancy? Check.
Sasuke has encounters or history with many people: Naruto, Kakashi, K11, Kages, etc...
4.) Has power? No Check.
Sasuke is top ten material but he isn't in the same God Tier level as Madara or Juubito. Kishimoto would need to give Sasuke several upgrades to be worthy of FV status.
5.) Good plot material? Semi-Check or Check.
I vote more for the check, but it can honestly go either way. I can't be forthcoming because i have no idea on Sasuke as FV. What can make this worthy plot material is that Sasuke represents the views from the Elder Son. Sasuke believes that power is the best way to establish change. However, Sasuke will/might realize that power alone isn't going to make change alone. The clash of opposing ideals that will lead to the Naruto vs Sasuke finale might be worth it. This is where Sasuke could finally acknowledge Naruto as the better ninja of the two with the stronger ideals. This could also mean that Sasuke wanted to test Naruto to see if he was capable of being Hokage. Who knows maybe to teach Naruto a lesson that love alone isn't the only way in life. This could lead to Sasuke's potential death as a anti-hero/FV.
What do you think should Kishimoto do to make Sasuke a worthy FV?
