Actually, believe it or not Obito's statement was made because he wants to get Naruto on his and Madara's side.

Ot: Sasuke should never have turned good. He was shown as the true personification of an avenger, i can't believe he jumped ship just like that. Its as if his parents being slaughtered no longer means anything to him.....

Sasuke not returning and staying evil would have helped naruto grow up more than Sasuke dying imo. There should have been a final naruto vs sasuke at the end(as there was in part1). I guess all the foreshadowing of a repeat of the VOTE won't happen now.......kishi is such a tree hugger smh.

Personally I don't believe Sasuke changed the ship and turned 100% good like most of you are guessing, specially due to the way and his facial expressions in the panel when he revealed he is going to protect his brothers dream.I think its more like if Madara's plan succeed then world will end so he teams up to protect the world with good guys. After the war, specially after he hears Madara's side of the story it can go either way for Sasuke's character.

Also since Sasuke is charged with butt load of crimes after his stunts in the Kage summit I doubt anyone other than Naruto & maybe Sakura will accept Sasuke with arms open.Lot of conflict will be there, remember what happened with Hashirama and Madara well Sasuke is in a worst situation than Madara was with the villagers at that time(before Madara went emo and left village)

And hopes Kishi don't troll us all by making Naruto talk no jutsu all the shinobi's & kages to forgive Sasuke because that is unrealistic even in Naruto universe :/

Tbh, I think it's a good move.

Sasuke has always been the anti-hero of the story, acting on his own motives and goals separate from Naruto, but since the Kage Summit he had been acting fairly out-of-character. He became brash and overexerting. Before that, he had a calm and collected attitude to contrast Naruto's energetic and hap-hazard tactics, and that's how it should always have been.

At least with his recent change-of-heart, he's finally realized the message Itachi was trying to get across to him, and not letting himself be manipulated by power or words. It's a chance we'll see him return back to his analytical and emotionless ways.

I do expect we will see Naruto vs Sasuke one last time, but perhaps not as a fight to the death. In order for them to respect each other as friends and rivals once again, they will have to spar with everything they've got.

Ok IMO it was a good move but only because of what stood in front of him. To be clear I think Sasuke is just saying he's in the good side to get the Hokage force to fight in his side instead of having to fight them himself.

As for the chunnin thing...no just no those ranks don't mean anything to them anymore also I think they would just be given rank after this war...I mean Sasuke is an s-class criminal and naruto it the fastest ninja/the strongest host so trying to get the title of chunnin is stepping backwards.
